Kantara Review

 Kantara review   🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Kantara a movie that shows the life of people who live near forest and are close to nature. Its a story about these people and their beliefs in nature, God and traditions.
Rishab Shetty has acted , written and directed this film. With a strong supporting cast starring Kishore, Achyuth Kumar, Pramod Shetty, Sapthami Gowda and many others.

Kantara is a story about a good for nothing guy called Shiva (Rishab Shetty) who spends his time drinking alcohol, hunting and roaming with friends. But there are some good qualities in him, he's always ready to stand and fight for the rights of his people and he dosent care who is against him. Leela (Sapthami) plays Shivas love interest. His main rival is Muralidhar( Deputy Range Forest Officer) (Kishore). Shiva and Muralidhar confronts each other many times. Shiva is supported by landlord Devendra(Achyuth Kumar). Devendra's forefather's had given their land to the tribes of forest in exchange to worship their god who brings peace and happiness to the people.
The story line is very simple but the execution is so brilliant that not even for a second you feel bored watching this movie. Shivas entry scene and the action which follows is executed very well. The Bhoota Kola festival is the main highlight of Kantara. As we expect the climax scene is just awesome, it just sends shivers on the viewers.
Set design is first rate, the village set looks very real. Cinematography is natural, it just take you into the world of Kantara. Lighting is done really well especially the night scenes. Music and background score is perfectly scored. Sound design also needs special mention, this film needed that loud sounds and we get it in plenty. Editing is also good .

Performance by all the actors are good. Kishore has acted well, his expression gives the correct picture about his intentions. Sapthami is good and a fresh air to see a female lead who looks natural. All the actors who play Shiva's friends are good in providing the needed comedy. All actors have done a good job. But it is Rishab Shetty who steals the show, you have to watch the movie to see what he has achieved. Rishab Shetty's direction is perfect, its very difficult to direct and act at the same time but he has managed it pretty well.
This is a first time I am seeing a Rishab Shetty film and he impressed.
Friends go and watch Kantara it will be worth your money and this movie should be enjoyed only in theatres for the sound, cinematography and performance.

I give it 5/5 stars.
