Drishyam 2 (HINDI) review.. 4/5 stars
Drishyam 2 a sequel to Drishyam (2015) both are remake of the same name malayalam film. Drishyam 2 stars Ajay Devgn, Akshaye Khanna, Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor with many others from the part 1. Drishyam 2 is directed by Abhishek Pathak.
Drishyam 2 starts from where Drishyam 1 ends. Then the movie movies 7 years later. Vijay Salgaonkar ( Ajay Devgn) has started a theatre and is also working on producing a movie. His family has still not got out of the tragedy which happened years back. IG Tarun Ahlawat( Akshaye Khanne) has re-opened the investigation and is trying to find the loop holes to frame Vijay Salgaonkar and his family. Is Vijay able to protect his family again, for this you have to see the movie.
Film is very gripping and lot of thrilling movements keep you engaged through out. The second half brings out a lot of twist and turns. Main USP is the last 30 minutes. Its again the mind games played by both sides that keeps us engaged.
First half lags a bit, but it had to be that way for building the second half. The lag of first half is fully justified in the second half and the climax twist is awesome. If you have seen the original malayalam version still you will enjoy this Hindi version. In the Hindi version they have added and shot some scenes differently. Drishyam 2 is a worthy remake which does full justice to the original.
Acting by Ajay Devgn is terrific. Ajay Devgn does not have too much dialogues, its his expressions which say a lot than words. Akshaye Khanna take a bow and please do more film, he just steals the show till climax. Tabu, Shriya Saran, the kids and all others have done their role well.
Background score is good, editing is effective and cinematography is good.
On the whole its a entertaining movie and can be enjoyed with your whole family.
I give Drishyam sequel 4/5 stars.
