Drishyam 2 (HINDI) review.. 4/5 stars

Image
Drishyam 2 a sequel to Drishyam  (2015) both are remake of the same name malayalam film. Drishyam 2 stars  Ajay Devgn, Akshaye Khanna, Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor with many others from the part 1.  Drishyam 2 is directed by Abhishek Pathak. Drishyam 2 starts from where Drishyam 1 ends. Then the movie movies 7 years later. Vijay Salgaonkar ( Ajay Devgn) has started a theatre and is also working on producing a movie. His family has still not got out of the tragedy which happened years back. IG Tarun Ahlawat( Akshaye Khanne) has re-opened the investigation and is trying to find the loop holes to frame Vijay Salgaonkar and his family.  Is Vijay able to protect his family again, for this you have to see the movie. Film is very gripping and lot of thrilling movements keep you engaged through out. The second half brings out a lot of twist and turns. Main USP is the last 30 minutes. Its again the mind games played by both sides that keeps us engaged.  First h...

Mukundan Unni Associates ( Malayalam Film) - 3/5 stars

Image
Mukundan Unni Associates , I would like to call it a psycho black comedy film. Movie stars Vineeth Sreenivasan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Aarsha Chandini Baiju, Jagadeesh and many others. Movie is directed by Abhinav Sunder Nayak. The story revolves around Mukundan Unni ( Vineeth Sreenivasan) an advocate. Mukundan wants to be a rich man and he is ready to do anything to make money. Human relations mean nothing to him. He is very smart, cunning and dangerous. What happens in his life and does he achieve his dream, forms the rest of the story. This movie has a lot of things going on from murder, cheating, blackmail etc. All these situations have been handled in a comic way, the comedy in this film does generate a lot of laughs. This is one movie where the main lead is bad.. very bad and the director does not try to sugar coat by showing him nice. Mukundan Unni is just emotionless and he does not have any feelings for others, his goal is the only thing he cares about. It was nice to see a ...

KOOMAN - The Night Rider Malayalam film review 4/5 stars

Image
Kooman is a thriller directed by Jeethu Joseph . Kooman stars Asif Ali, Renji Panicker, Baburaj, Jaffar Idukki, Reji Koshy and many others.   Kooman is about Giri (Asif Ali) a police officer in a village. Giri is a peculiar character, if anyone tries to act smart with him, he will get back on them. Some suicides happen and many more interesting things keep happening in the life of Giri, revealing anything more will spoil the fun. This is a thriller but with a interesting plot. This film also deals with an issue which recently happened in Kerala. So the timing of the release of this film is perfect. I liked the movie, it just keeps our interest alive . The characters have been developed nicely. Each and every character adds to the movie. Many scenes stand out like the night scenes, the forest scenes, investigation scenes. The climax has been executed well. To talk about negatives if you watch a lot of such films, after the interval there is  a scene where you can guess wh...

Love Today (2022) tamil movie review -

Image
Love Today is a love story of this generation youngsters and the effect of social media in their life. Love Today stars Pradeep Ranganathan( debut film as a lead actor , also the director), Ivana, Raveena Ravi, Yogi Babu, Radhika Sarathkumar, Sathyaraj and others. Story is about Uthaman (Pradeep) and his love Nikitha (Ivana). Both of them are in love and want to marry each other. Nikitha's father (Sathyaraj) keeps a condition that if they want to marry, the lovers should exchange their mobile phones for a specific period of time and if they still love each other after this, he will have no-objection in their marriage. Now a story starts of fun, love, betrayal and a lot of funny movements. There's also a plot of Uthamans sister Divya ( Raveena) and her would be Dr. Yogi    (Yogi Babu).  The film is full of situational comedy which makes you laugh a lot. Its a fun film from start to end. There is also a message about the bad effects of social media use, thankfully it doesn'...

Saturday Night - Malayalam Movie review Saturday night  is a story about 4 friends and the situation's they go through discovering the bond they share between them. Saturday Night stars Nivin Pauly, Aju Varghese, Saiju Kurup , Siju wilson along with a lot of supporting cast. This movie is directed by Roshan Andrews. Story is very simple Stanley (Nivin Pauly), Sunil (Aju Varghese), Justin (Saiju Kurup) and Ajith (Siju Wilson) are best friends. They are always always a support for each other. But due to some circumstances they stop talking and go on their separate ways. After few years Stanley, Justin and Ajith go on a journey to find Sunil. Where is Sunil and why they are searching for him and in that journey how they re-discover their friendship is what the film tries to say in a comic way. The problem with this film is that it just doesn't make you feel for the characters. Stanley (Nivin Pauly's) character is very confusing , they do give a childish reason for his behavio...
